Southern Ocean Associated Investigators: Related Web Sites: Related Time Series: This time series is from the work of Atkinson et al. (in press, 2004), incorporating data from historical DISCOVERY cruises with newer sampling. The data result from a compilation of all available station data across the SW Atlantic sector form a variety of net samples, divided by sampling methodology then built into a spatial-temporal model to properly examine time trends. Since the 2004 publication, Atkinson et al. has added recent data and devised a method of standarising the individual station data to a common sampling methodology to remove some of the noise.
